Family Background
My name is Sheng, Hong-yang.  I have three members in my family.  My father is a person with good attitude on doing everything.  For example, if I didn’t do well on exam, he always tells me not to care about it.  Because he has seen that I have done my best and I have good attitude to be faced with exam. Otherwise, he works hard day and night to make our ends meet.  He also advises me not to give up easily, and he wants me to remember a great saying: Where there is a will, there is a way.  It would help me through my lifetime to feel endlessly enjoyable, while I conduct myself in accordance with every words my father has told to me.  My mother is a housewife.  I think that she is a great mother.  She never complains any words when she does many housework.  For instance, she always washes our dirty clothes after we take a bath.  After that, she also washes dishes after we have dinner.  Although she has to do a lot of things everyday, she still does well and never makes mistakes.  I admire her for good responsibility.  I am lucky to have wonderful family.
School Life

I studied at Department of Applied Foreign Languages in National Tainan Vocational Commercial Senior High School.  I was glad to have so nice school and class.  My classmates are humorous and kind.  When I had a hard time doing my homework, they  helped me deal with it.  Furthermore, when I didn’t do well on exams, they couldn't laugh at me.  Instead of laughing, they would encourage me and make me happy. Because of them, I felt that my life in senior high school is colorful.

I had joined basketball club for three years since I was in the NTCVS.  This club not only made me know how to improve my skills but also let me make a lot of friends in NTCVS. Playing basketball is my favorite hobby, and it also teaches me how to keep positive attitude on everything in my daily life.  For example, once we went to play a game with another school, during the game, we lost 10 points when we just only have ten minutes.  However, we still didn’t give up that we do our utmost to beat the rival. At the game’s key time, I got a three points shot and we won the game.  This experience makes me know that never give up and stick to the last second.

Being an English major, I study English everyday.  I  not only studied English books but also did some English-related activities.  For example, I joined the English basketball camp, I did English reports, and I also delivered English speeches.  I believe that the more English I learn, the better future I will have.  By means of doing these things, I think that my English has improved a lot.  However, that is not enough to me.  I want to advance my English ability at University.

Self-Evaluation

I am interested in playing basketball.  Playing basketball not only makes me keep good health but lets me know what sportsmanship and cooperation are.  By means of playing basketball, I also know the importance of team work.  Although there are a lot of difficulties that I have to overcome during practicing playing basketball, I always tell “never give up” to myself.  It really helps me a lot when I have difficulties in everything in my daily life.

Besides playing basketball, I also major in English. I want to improve my English abilities before I go abroad.  Therefore, I can speak with foreigners fluently and I wouldn’t worry about communicating with others.  Otherwise, I believe that as a proverb goes “However stronger you are, there’s always someone stronger."  Hence, I want to play basketball with foreigners oversea.  In order to enhance my English abilities, I will read English magazines, watch English news, and especially write  English composition.  For example, I love reading advanced magazines, watching CNN on TV, etc. But, I am considered that we must achieve a sense of balance in our lives.

Therefore, I enjoy surfing the Net and doing exercise in my leisure time.  For instance, when I am tired that I can't do anything about English homework , I will search the news on English NBA webs or go to play basketball to relax myself. As to my personality, I am a kind, open-minded, and optimistic person.  In my life, my motto influences me the most, which is “keep good attitude on doing everything." 

Future Perspective

With beautiful campus, professional teachers and specific facilities, National Kaohsiung University of Applied Sciences is an ideal university I have been desired for. I will still choose the department of Foreign language as my major in college, since I am considered that I have a lot of aspects that need to improve in English when I graduate from senior high school.  It also offers all kinds of English-related courses, which will enhance my English ability in deed.  After graduating from college, I may pursue going abroad to advance my speaking ability.  Otherwise, I want to pass the high level in the GEPT test and get 850 points in TOEIC when I study in the college within four years.  The courses offered by this department will attain my expectations, I really hope that I can be admitted to this University.

Conclusion

According to my self introduction, I have prepared to face my new University life.  Therefore, I will catch any chances in my near future,and keep good attitude toward everything.

School life-revise 1

I am studying at Department of Applied Foreign Languages in National Tainan VocationalCommercial Senior High School.  I am glad to have so nice school and class.  My classmates are humorous and kind.  When I have a hard time doing my homework, they will help me deal with it.  Furthermore, when I don’t do well on exams, they would't laugh at me.  Instead of laughing, they would encourage me and make me happy. Because of them, I feel that my life in senior high school is colorful.
