Expressing an Opinion-revise 2

In Taiwan, authorities still use the death penalty as a form of criminal punishment.  In my opinion, I agree with using the death penalty as a form of criminal punishment because it deters people from committing crimes.  However, those who are critical of this idea think that it is harsher to serve a life in prison.  Furthermore, I am on the same page as those who stand up for the death penalty.  The reason is that it makes criminals pay the ultimate price.  But opponents of this idea claim that it sometimes means killing an innocent person.  It is often argued that it is a punishment that cannot be changed.  However, I am in favor of using the death penalty as a form of criminal punishment.  Due to all of these reasons, one must conclude that I insist using the death penalty to punish ex-convict.
